Two batteries power the meter and timed shutter, but the mechanical 1/80 setting remains available. Fresh batteries are included.
Both lens options focus manually on the F3. Turn the focusing ring to bring your subject into focus, then use aperture priority to let the camera choose the shutter speed, or manual mode to control it yourself. The 24โ85mm lens has AF in its name, but it does not add autofocus to the F3.
It uses standard 35mm film. Color-negative, black-and-white, and compatible slide films all work; ISO / ASA 12โ6400. ISO 400 color-negative film is a forgiving everyday starting point unless the camera notes a narrower recommendation.
Choose the NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4 for a natural perspective, soft backgrounds, and more flexibility in low light. It is a fixed-focal-length prime, so it does not zoom. Choose the 24โ85mm f/2.8โ4D for flexible framing from wide scenes to portraits without changing lenses. Its widest aperture changes from f/2.8 at 24mm to f/4 at 85mm. Your kit includes one lens, based on your selection.
Dedicated accessory shoe; external flash sync at 1/80 second. When using flash, follow the cameraโs indicated sync speed or automatic flash mode.
Manual loading, advance, and rewind. A 36-exposure roll normally gives 36 full-frame photographs; half-frame and multi-lens cameras divide the roll differently.
Your kit price depends on both the cosmetic condition and the lens you select. Each price includes the F3 body and one lens. Condition grades describe cosmetic wear; every kit is fully functional. The standard F3 places its dedicated accessory shoe around the rewind knob rather than on top of the prism. Nikon F3-compatible adapters or flashes are needed for the cleanest setup.
After you order, we select your F3 body and chosen lens from our reserve inventory and complete their final restoration.
