Clear answers to the questions camera shoppers ask most.
Yes. You choose the aperture and focus; the camera selects the shutter speed and shows it in the viewfinder, which is an approachable way to learn depth of field. Cute Camera Co. is here when first-roll questions appear.
Yes. The electronic shutter and meter need two LR44 or SR44 batteries. Fresh batteries are included.
Focus: Manual focus. Exposure: Aperture-priority automatic; manual with optional adapter. The camera handles at least part of the exposure decision, while you still shape the photograph through framing, timing, and the controls it provides.
It uses standard 35mm film. Color-negative, black-and-white, and compatible slide films all work; ISO / ASA 25โ1600. ISO 400 color-negative film is a forgiving everyday starting point unless the camera notes a narrower recommendation.
The included 50mm f/1.8 is a fixed prime. The OM mount accepts a wide family of manual-focus Zuiko lenses; modern digital Micro Four Thirds lenses do not fit.
External flash through hot shoe; sync at 1/60 second. When using flash, follow the cameraโs indicated sync speed or automatic flash mode.
Manual loading, advance, and rewind. A 36-exposure roll normally gives 36 full-frame photographs; half-frame and multi-lens cameras divide the roll differently.
It is especially lovely for portraits, travel, first rolls, and learning aperture creatively. Film stock, light, exposure, lens rendering, developing, and scanning all help shape the final look.
Only with the optional Manual Adapter, which adds selectable shutter speeds. Without it, the camera is designed around aperture-priority automatic exposure plus Bulb.
Light leaks, inaccurate meters, sluggish shutters, tired film transport, and focus problems can stay hidden until a roll is developed. A lovingly restored Olympus OM-10 lets you begin with confidence and spend your attention on the memory in front of the lens.
