Yes. The meter, shutter, focus, flash, and film transport are electronic, so a CR123A battery is required and included.
Focus: Autofocus with manual distance settings. Exposure: Program AE or aperture-priority AE. Its meter or an external reading gives guidance, but the final exposure choices stay with you.
It uses standard 35mm film. Color-negative, black-and-white, and compatible slide films all work; DX ISO 25โ5000. ISO 400 color-negative film is a forgiving everyday starting point unless the camera notes a narrower recommendation.
The 38mm f/2.8 Sonnar is a fixed prime lens, not a zoom and not interchangeable. Its slightly wide everyday view works beautifully for travel, friends, and street scenes.
