Nikon COOLPIX P510 | 16.1MP CMOS 42x Superzoom Digital Camera

Released in 2012, the P510 combines a 16.1-megapixel backside-illuminated CMOS sensor, an almost ridiculous 42x optical zoom, a proper electronic viewfinder, a tilting high-resolution screen, built-in GPS, Full HD video, and both automatic and manual exposure controls inside one wonderfully adventurous camera.

At its widest setting, the permanently attached NIKKOR lens captures the equivalent of 24mm—wide enough for landscapes, buildings, interiors, friend groups, and the entire story of where you are.

Keep zooming and it reaches the equivalent of 1000mm.
