Yes. The standard body uses one 2CR5 lithium battery to operate the shutter, autofocus, meter, and film transport. A fresh battery is included with your camera.
Use One-Shot autofocus for still subjects or AI Servo to follow movement. Program mode chooses shutter speed and aperture; aperture priority, shutter priority, and manual exposure give you more control. You can also focus manually using the lens.
It takes standard 35mm film, including color-negative, black-and-white, and slide film. ISO 400 color-negative film is a useful everyday starting point. Your choice of film, light, developing, and scanning all help shape the finished photographs.
Yes. The included Canon EF 24โ105mm f/4L IS USM zooms from wide scenes to closer portraits, with an f/4 maximum aperture throughout. It is removable, so you can use other compatible Canon EF lenses. EF-S, RF, and older FD lenses do not mount directly.
No. It accepts a compatible external EOS Speedlite, with standard flash synchronization up to 1/250 second. The camera and lens kit does not include a flash.
Film loading, advance, and rewind are automatic. Once you finish a roll, have it developed and scanned to see and share your photographs. Keep the camera back closed until the film has finished rewinding.
