Canon FTb 35mm Film Camera with 50mm F1.8 Lens

Looking for a versatile (and manual) film camera to try your new photography hobby on? This Canon FTb 35mm film camera is a great choice for better understanding the Exposure Triangle (aperture, shutter speed, and ISO) and getting confident in your ability to take a great shot.

The Canon FTb camera came out in 1971 and has the same basic features of its flagship model, the Canon F1. The only difference is that an FTb can accept FD mount lenses. With manual focus and manual exposure, the FTb 35mm camera is a great way to get back to the basics of film shooting. Because when it comes to shooting film, there’s nothing that builds your confidence more than shooting manually.

When you really understand (and eventually master) the basics, it makes taking your camera out for a walk or on a hot date much easier to use quickly and still come out with a great photo.

When it comes to the Canon FTb 35mm film camera, you can’t go wrong. It’s easy to learn the fundamentals of shooting film with this camera. All you have to do is put it on a strap and walk out the door! (PS we sell straps too!)

By the way, protect your camera for 1-2 years with our protection plan. We cover all boo boos at no cost to you.

Features + Benefits:

  • Look cool holding the sturdy metal body in classic black
  • Keep it simple with manual focus and exposure

  • 10-second self timer for better selfie taking

Specs:

Professionally restored, tested, and cleaned.

Functions 100%, including the light meter.

How We Grade Our Cameras

We restore, test, and clean all of our cameras to ensure that despite its age, your Cute Camera works as well as it would have if purchased it in 1976. This means that you’ll be able to capture your soulmate’s smile, your puppy dog’s eyes, or the sunset of your last day at college – straight out of the box.

VERY GOOD:

A "very good" body will have minimal signs of wear and tear. Examples include slight impurities like  worn leather or metal, signs of age on the bottom plate, and dull marks.

GOOD:

A “good” body will also look nice but have some additional potential cosmetic wear such as spots with discoloration,  worn down metal or small scratches somewhere on the body.

AVERAGE:

An “average” body will be a more severe case of cosmetic wear like more extreme discoloration or worn down metal, exterior or interior black
specs, deeper scratches, or lines in the eye prism.

Great camera, easy to use

I dove head first into film photography and bought the Canon Ftb 35mm film camera as my first camera. I was able to set up and use the camera relying solely on a couple Youtube videos and websites with easy step-by-step directions. I encourage anyone that is interested in film photography to give it a try, it is not intimidating as it seems. I am still learning the more technical aspects (aperture) but my film still turned out great without a deep understanding of the more complex settings.
