Nikon FE 35mm Film Camera

with 50mm F1.4 Lens

All abord the adventure train with the iconic Nikon FE 35mm film camera, a vintage masterpiece that hit the shelves in 1978 and was considered "one of the best 35mm film cameras you can buy." And guess what? It was true then and it is still true today. Having aged rather gracefully into the digital age it is still highly sought after by film enthusiasts to this day.

Maybe it's the simplicity of use, how versatile this camera really is, or perhaps it's the feel of near perfect craftsmanship in your hands. Whatever the reason, this camera is likely to inspire spontaneous photographic adventures of all types. We say, embrace it. This camera comes with the amazing Nikkor 50mm 1.4 lens so you can shoot dreamy photos with creamy blurred out backgrounds.

We lovingly restore, test, and clean all our camera models to ensure that, despite its age, your vintage Nikon FE is ready for action, capturing your soulmate’s smile, your puppy dog’s eyes, or the sunset of your last day at college – straight out of the box.

The Nikon FE 35mm film camera comes in the classic chrome and black. So pick whatever color makes your heart sing and strap up your camera (we sell straps too!), put this baby in its outstanding Program mode (or go full manual-mode if you’re feeling daring), and get out there and make some memories!

By the way, protect your camera for 1-2 years with our protection plan. We cover all boo boos at no cost to you.

🛠️ How We Grade Our Cameras

No two cameras are identical, every camera is unique, has its own story and is truly a piece of history. We do our best to group them into three cosmetic categories so you can choose the one that's best for you.

    VERY GOOD:

A "very good" body will have minimal signs of wear and tear. Examples include slight impurities like  worn leather or metal, signs of age on the bottom plate, and dull marks.

    GOOD:

A “good” body will also look nice but have some additional potential cosmetic wear such as spots with discoloration,  worn down metal or small scratches somewhere on the body.

    AVERAGE:

An “average” body will be a more severe case of cosmetic wear like more extreme discoloration or worn down metal, exterior or interior black specs, deeper scratches, or lines in the eye prism.

    "Good" condition = impressive!

Long story short, really satisfied with my purchase! I ordered a "good" condition Nikon FE. The lens needed wiping for a few smudges but is in good shape with no damage or scratches. All the moving parts work really well. The lens cap's plastic spring lock is worn(/maybe broken?) such that it only stays attached to the lens if you fiddle with it a little bit, but it's a minor thing. After a test roll on Kodak Gold 200 (which they included in the box with the camera), I can confirm the light seals are all solid with no light leakage at all. Other than a tad bit of wear along the corners of the camera casing, everything works and looks fantastic! I love that this camera has a built-in multiple-exposure lever.

A note about shipping: After a week without getting a shipping notification, I used the contact form to ask whether the camera had shipped yet and was told there had been an unexpectedly "high demand" for the model that meant it was on back order. But it shipped within another week, within the timeframe they had expected, and it arrived promptly.
