I discovered photography later on in life, and have since been off the rails obsessed with BW/Monochrome. I really want to shoot on a camera that only takes black and white photos…that camera exists but normal humans can’t afford it (ahem, Leica…) So I took a buddy’s recommendation and started looking into 35mm…if you only put Bw rolls in it, it only shoots BW. Perfect solution. Anyhoo, after a nightmare experience on eBay, I looked into Cute Camera Co, and reached out over email. They got back to me almost immediately and answered all of my dumb questions and were super encouraging. I waited to write this until I got my film back, so it would be authentic. I sent 5 rolls of film in, all shot on the Pentax K1000, and said I’d be happy with 1 decent shot. Man, I took some awesome photos…I’m SO STOKED about the Pentax K1000. In their response to my dumb questions, Cute Camera Co. said to check out the Pentax, and sent me links etc to make it easier. The customer service was awesome (even though I’m probably not the target demographic based on the branding and such, but I’m a #girldad and love the color pink these days, I wasn’t intimidated by the cuteness😂) Anyhoo, can’t recommend this camera enough, can’t say enough good things about the comms and customer service…100% recommend, 10/10, I will buy all my supplies from this company.
