35mm Film Camera FAQs

What is a 35mm film camera?

A 35mm film camera captures photographs on 35mm film instead of a digital sensor. This includes automatic point-and-shoots, manual SLRs and rangefinder cameras.

What film does a 35mm camera use?

They use 35mm film (also called 135 film). Most rolls contain 24 or 36 exposures and are available in both color and black-and-white. We recommend Kodak Ultramax 400 for your first roll.

Do your vintage film cameras still work?

Absolutely. Every vintage camera we sell is carefully tested and restored, then shipped with a battery and lifetime support if you ever need help.

Are 35mm cameras good for beginners?

Yes! Film is widely available, and beginners can choose an automatic camera for effortless photos or an SLR to learn photography fundamentals. Check out our beginner cameras here.
